San Marcos Half Marathon

This is the new San Marcos Half Marathon 13.1, 10k and 5k. Formerly known as Moe’s Better Half Marathon, they passed the torch to ScallyWompus after 33 years, and now it’s up to you to make this old race shiny and new again.

The race begins at the Tanger Outlet Mall, a short distance from downtown San Marcos. San Marcos is a college town, home to Texas State University, which also lies a short distance from the San Marcos River. This not-so-sleepy town midway from San Antonio and Austin offers plenty of places serving adult beverages, Tex-Mex cuisine, live music, and all-around good times.

Thanks for signing up for our race, sometimes things change and you have to transfer your race entry or change the race, we understand. Please understand that this takes time to make these changes and we charge $20 to make that change or transfer. $30 to transfer the day before the race. No transfers after race day. It doesn’t mean we don’t love you.

Late registrations, on Packet-Pickup and Race Day, can pick up race shirt after the last race has started. If we run out, we will order more shirts.

Award categories is 1st – 4th for all distances.

Age categories:
14 and under, 15-20, 21-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90+

First overall male and female, first overall masters male and female, and first overall super masters male and female will be based on Gun Time.

All age group awards will be based on Chip Time due to needing to start in waves.
