Hey there, runners!
The new year is just around the corner, and have we got some awesome Hill Country-inspired race events just for you wrapped up in a series you can’t miss out on!! Each race offers up interesting locales, as well as excellent after-race excitement and fun.
For 2019 we’ve got four races for you to test your mettle.
JANUARY 5
We’ve got our River Road Run, which will start at Canyon Lake. The course, which winds through Comal County, is an out-and-back route, with one hill at the start. We’ll throw in all the beautiful scenery for free!
FEBRUARY 2
We’ve got the Carnival of Venice in San Antonio. This race follows the fairly-new Riverwalk extension, which winds along the old Spanish Mission Trail. The city takes its green space seriously, and demonstrates historical perspective.
March 10
The San Marcos Half Marathon. This race starts at the nearby Tanger Outlet Mall and winds through the city, home to Texas State University’s “Bobcat Country.”
April 6
We’ll finish with the Wanderlust Run in Fredericksburg. This race starts in the heart of the old German town’s Marktplatz (Market Square). We’ll even have a costume contest at this one, which gives this race a special twist.
Each race has 13.1 half marathon, 10k and 5k distances. Highlights include:
- Gender specific tech t-shirts for each race. T-shirts have women’s and men’s cuts. (Sometimes, women’s t-shirts will have V-necks.)
- Every finisher receives a medal.
- Awards available for first through fourth place for each five-year increment category.
- An EPIC after-party for each race
- EXTRA SERIES medal (coming soon!!) for completion of all four races. Virtual option for all races available!
Also for 2019, we’re offering runners the option to register for a Mixed Bundle or 5k/10k Bundle. If you register for all four races, you can choose which distance you prefer, including virtual runs. Register now! You don’t want to miss everything we have to offer!!
